      Punto Key Cutting Machine - Calibration

      This guide provides step-by-step instructions for calibrating the milling cutter and tracer on the Punto key cutting machine.

      Calibration Procedure

      1. Turn on the Machine

        • Press the ON/OFF button to power up the Punto key cutting machine.

      2. Check the Tracer Unit

        • Ensure the tracer unit springing system is unlocked by verifying that the locking knob is in the 'unlocked' position. The tracer unit should move freely.

      3. Position the Milling Cutter-Tracer Assembly

        • Use the lever to move the milling cutter-tracer assembly close to a non-cut area of the key.
        • Check that the milling cutter is touching the key.

      4. Adjust the Milling Cutter Height

        • If the milling cutter does not touch the key, unlock the adjustment wheel and turn the height adjustment knob to bring the cutter to the correct position.

      5. Lock the Setting

        • Once the proper height is set, lock the adjustment wheel to secure the calibration.
