      How to Safely Operate and Adjust the Falcon Key Cutting Machine

      General Safety Guidelines for Using the Falcon Key Cutting Machine

      Warning: Always wear safety glasses and gloves and follow safety instructions carefully.

      Operational Safety Instructions:

      • Do not misuse tools or cutters, as this can cause damage.
      • Keep power cables away from heat, water, oil, and sharp objects.
      • Maintain clean and sharp cutters for optimal performance.
      • Follow lubrication and machine part replacement schedules.
      • Inspect wires, belts, and extension cables regularly; replace damaged parts only with authorized service personnel.
      • Keep machine handles dry and clean.
      • Do not expose the machine to harsh weather.
      • Disconnect the power before maintenance or if the machine is unused for long periods.
      • Only use original spare parts.

      Preliminary Checks and Start-Up

      Before using the Falcon key cutting machine, ensure:

      Key Cutting Machine Settings

      Replacing the Jaw

      The Falcon key cutting machine has three types of jaws, each designed for specific key types:

      • 01 Jaw: For Ford and Jaguar keys
      • 02 Jaw: For Abus keys
      • 03 Jaw: For Abloy keys

      Steps to Replace the Jaw:

      1. Loosen the locking screws (X).
      2. Insert the new jaw into the Y slot.
      3. Ensure it is flush against the stop and secure it by tightening the screws (X).

      Adjusting the Pitch Selection Knob

      Each jaw uses a specific coding space selection knob (J).

      Steps to Replace the Pitch Selection Knob:

      1. Loosen the knob (Z) completely.
      2. Remove the old knob.
      3. Insert the new knob and tighten it securely.
